Deep Planet in the 5 Finalists promising women led startups in the FemaleFounderChallenge
We are proud to have been selected as one of the finalists as promising women led startups out of 500+ applications from 60 countries in Viva Technology and 50inTech’s #FemaleFounderChallenge, a hugely meaningful achievement for all of us at Deep Planet.
This challenge speaks to an issue that we're really passionate about, redressing the gender imbalance in tech. In 2021, just 14% of new global unicorns were founded or co-founded by women. It might be an improvement on the 2020 figures, but it’s nowhere near where we need to be to achieve equity within the industry.
The Female Founder Challenge was created with the aim of accelerating the financing of female-led startups globally, and we couldn't be more thrilled to be involved!
